Solar-Powered 4G Emergency Call Pillars Installed On Malaysian Highways To Enhance Road Safety Communication

Recently, our company successfully completed the installation and commissioning of solar-powered 4G emergency call pillars on several highways in Malaysia. These systems feature integrated solar panels and built-in lithium batteries, achieving truly wireless, maintenance-free, and all-weather communication, providing a strong safeguard for highway emergency response and traffic safety management.

This project was carried out in cooperation with the local highway communication authorities, with installations at key locations such as elevated bridges, tunnel entrances, ramps, and accident-prone areas. Each pillar is equipped with a high-efficiency solar panel, smart charging controller, and large-capacity lithium battery, allowing for more than five days of autonomous operation even during continuous cloudy or rainy weather.

The built-in 4G wireless communication module connects directly to the highway control center, supporting one-touch calling, remote monitoring, and real-time positioning. During installation, technicians worked through the night to ensure minimal disruption to highway traffic. Once powered on, the solar panel automatically began charging, and the indicator lights confirmed stable operation. Test calls to the control center demonstrated clear voice quality and strong, stable connectivity-proof of the system's reliability under challenging field conditions.

According to the project manager, the deployment of this 4G solar-powered emergency call system not only reduces traditional cabling and power costs but also greatly improves installation efficiency and ease of maintenance. This solution is particularly suitable for remote, off-grid, or difficult construction environments, such as highways, mountain roads, bridges, and tunnels.

Furthermore, the system supports multilingual voice prompts and remote firmware updates, allowing flexible customization based on client requirements. Looking ahead, our company will continue to collaborate with partners in Southeast Asia and countries along the Belt and Road to promote intelligent, eco-friendly, and reliable communication solutions, contributing to the development of smart and safe transportation infrastructure worldwide.
